The residence "La Pointe Marine ***", a 3 star estate, is situated in the district of DESHAIES, on the Caribbean Sea, in between the beaches of "Le roux" and "Petite anse", on a rocky cape (pointe FERRY).
It comprises four bungalows, situated inmidst enclosed tropical gardens of 2000 m² (21527ft²), a quiet and exceptional site.
Our guests share the pool, surrounded by a teak deck for sunbathing.
Located in a dead-end street, separated from the Caribbean Sea by the State forest, the wooden, typical creole style lodgings comply with the latest antiseismic and anti-hurricane norms and offer the quiet and relaxing break you're looking for.
You can laze and suntan at poolside.
The ocean is nearby. You have the choice between two white sandy beaches, at a 500m (1650ft) distance, separated by a rocky spur where you can snorkel between the corals, fish and turtles...
You have direct access on a small track leading to a cove where some ancient cannons can be seen, former defenders of the Ferry bay, remains of the battles between France and Brittany.
In this region of Guadeloupe, the leeward coast, the inhabitants offer straightforward welcome to foreigners and are glad to share their knowledge of nature.
The rain forest and its lush vegetation offers hiking possibilities to everyone...
To get to know local culture and traditions, several parks and museums can be visited treating themes around: botany, coffee, cocoa, rum, orchids...., furthermore you can approach tropical nature by visiting the zoo or a treetop park.
Scuba diving or glass bottom boat tours can be made in the Cousteau marine reserve, game fishing on the open sea.
Once back on the estate, you can relax in the deckchairs at poolside and send your photographs by Internet, free Wifi access is available all over the residence.
All lodgings are fitted with :

- kitchen with all modern household equipment and washing machine (dishwasher for the villa).
